AgileTesting
Agile Testing is still very vague. Ofcourse there are a number of testing techniques mentioned in XP, but what we are really in search of is:

- What Does A Tester Do in an Agile Project?

So far LisaCrispin, JanetGregory and AnkoTijman have listed these practices:

* GeneralTesting

* AgileAndQuality

* TesterAndTheTeam

* TesterAndTheCustomer

* TesterAndTheDeveloper

* TesterAndHisView

From Dec04 we're working on a course, or a tutorial. Check out TeachingAgileTesting. If you make any changes to the content, please track them at AgileTestingRecentChanges.

The tutorial has been accepted at Agile2005Conference. Also our Workshop on HiringAnAgileTester was selected. Please join!

Our thoughts were about AgileTestingRules. Maybe we shouldn't define practices, but instead give some general rules about how an tester should act in an agile environment.

As a nice metaphor we might use TheThreeMusketeers, indicating the developer, the customer and the tester.

Anko is also thinking about LeanTesting... Janet added some thoughts, and Anko replied (03/04/04)

Lisa just ran across this presentation by Bret Pettichord: http://www.io.com/~wazmo/papers/agile_testing_20030311.pdf Here are some thoughts on BretsAgileTestPractices

Anko's employer Ordina (one of the largest Dutch IT firms) has its own agile method, called SMART. There is already a description on SmartTesting.

Anko is asked to write a course on agile testing by his manager. He thinks it could be very valuable, and being early might give us a jumpstart (correct english?). Although I'm very flattered I feel there is not so much "hard core" knowledge on agile testing. But we might want to gather some ideas on TeachingAgileTesting. Please join!
