When you look at traditionally trained testers, the attitude needed in an agile project will be their main struggle. This was confirmed when Lisa asked a question on interviewing testers for an agile project. There is some nice feedback coming from that:

What wonders me the most, is that there is such an overlap between the attitude of a context driven tester and an that from an agile tester. I'm not sure where ContextDrivenTesting? stops and where Agile testing starts (AT)
>> I think context driven testing is an important skill for agile testers. But not all agile testers may have this skill to start with, and not all context driven testers are agile testers.
'Constructive skepticism' is a quality I associate with testers in general - they are thinking in a negative way, but for the positive good of the team and the project - not to tear anyone down.
I think attitude, mindset and enthusiasm are important, because agile testing is hard to learn, you need a lot of motivation to stick with it. But I still haven't found a tester to hire, so I can't say for sure! -Lisa
